Movement
14.1Normal Movement
During the Movement Phase, each eligible unit may move up to its Movement value.
If using hexes, each point of Movement allows the unit to enter one adjacent hex.
If using free measurement, each point of Movement equals 1 inch.
14.2Movement Restrictions
A unit cannot move:
- Through enemy units unless a rule allows it
- Through impassable terrain
- Into a space it cannot legally occupy
- Off the battlefield
- While Stunned or Immobilized, unless a rule allows it
14.3 Friendly Units
Units may move through friendly units if there is enough room to end movement in a legal position.
A unit may not end movement overlapping another unit unless a rule allows it.
14.4 Enemy Units and Engagement
A unit that moves adjacent to an enemy unit becomes engaged in melee unless a rule says otherwise.
If using free measurement, a unit is engaged if it is within 1 inch of an enemy unit.
14.5 Difficult Terrain
Difficult Terrain costs additional movement.
If using hexes, entering a Difficult Terrain hex costs +1 Movement.
If using free measurement, every inch moved through Difficult Terrain costs 2 inches of Movement.
14.6 Impassable Terrain
Units cannot move through Impassable Terrain unless a rule allows it.
Flying, hovering, phasing, teleporting, or tunneling units may ignore some terrain restrictions if their datasheet says so.
